Sonobe Yoshihide was originally named Dengoro, but later changed his name to Denzo which was also the referred name of his father Yoshitsugu. Yoshihide created works displaying a similar elegance and attention to detail of his father, and he passed away in 1864 at the age of 59.
This refined piece displays a remarkable execution of a phoenix done in gold and silver Takabori on a Shakudo Nanako base.
