Similar to kotosho, kokacchushi feature cutout patterns on a thin base with rims in Uchikaeshi, Dote, Kanji, and Okesoko. Pieces produced prior to the Momoyama period are referred to as Ko-Kacchushi. Compared to Kotosho, designs tend to be more elaborate.Judging by the size, rim, and type of cutout pattern, this work is likely from the early Muromachi Period. The cutout dharma wheel on the iron base with an Okesoko rim combine a sense of both power and old elegance.
