Kokinko refers to an old style of work which continued until the Momoyma period. This tsuba is a kokinko work from the Momoyama period and incorporates iroe takabori on a shakudo nanako base. The front depicts a chrysanthemum and mist motif, and the rear paulownia and mist, all executed in gold creating a refined elegance.
